Causes aberrant tubulin polymerization. Induces apoptosis. Triggers Raf-1 activation, phosphorylation of Bcl-2 family proteins and induction of p53 expression. Cancer chemotherapeutic agent. Posttranscriptionally downregulates HIF-1α expression.
