Miscellaneous/General: A cytolysin which can be used to permeabilize mammalian cells and allow the introduction of macromolecules into these cells. Similar to Streptolysin O, but with greater purity and control over pore size. Tetanolysin is reported to generate pores of 20-50 nm, which can be controlled by varying tetanolysin concentration.
