This peptide was used to generate the guinea pig polyclonal antiserum to neurokinin-1 receptor (BML-NA4200). The peptide was synthesized using the Fmoc-polyamide mode of solid-phase synthesis. The peptide is suitable for use in negative control (antibody blocking) experiments in Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. The sequence exhibits a single amino acid substitution in the aligned sequence of mouse NK1R (M405I), two changes in the guinea pig NK1R sequence (M395V; A407S) and four changes in the human sequence (S399F; Y402S; M405V; A407S).
