This peptide, KTMTESFSFSSNVLS, derived from amino acids 393-407 of human NK1R was used to generate the rabbit polyclonal antiserum to human neurokinin-1 receptor (BML-NA4400). The peptide was synthesized using the Fmoc-polyamide mode of solid-phase synthesis and is suitable for use in negative control (antibody blocking) experiments in Western blotting and immunohistochemistry. The sequence exhibits a single amino acid substitution in the aligned sequence of mouse NK1R (V405I), two changes in the guinea pig NK1R sequence (V395M; S407S) and four changes in the rat sequence (F399S; S402Y; V405M; S407A).
