Description
ADP-ribosylation factor-related protein 1 (ARP1) is a membrane-associated GTPase that is localized to the trans-Golgi network (TGN) where it functions, in part, to regulate the tethering of endosome-derived transport vesicles (1, 2). ARFRP1 can hydrolyze GTP in the absence of a GTPase-activating protein and lacks the N-myristoylation site (glycine 2) that is required for membrane association (2). As a member of the Arf family, ARP1 inhibits the Arf/Sec7-dependent activation of phospholipase D (3).

Storage Condition and Buffer
Store at -20 °C. Buffer: 50 mM Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4), 0.15 M NaCl, 40% Glycerol, 0.01% sodium azide and 0.05% BSA. Stable for 12 months from date of receipt.
