描述: 17α-Hydroxyprogesterone (17-OHP) 是一种内源性孕激素，其他类固醇激素（包括糖皮质激素，雌激素，和雄激素）生物合成的化学中间体。

体外活性: 17α-OHP is an agonist of the progesterone receptor (PR) similarly to progesterone, albeit weakly in comparison[1]. It is a chemical intermediate in the biosynthesis of steroid hormones, including the androgen and estrogen sex hormones and the glucocorticoids and mineralocorticoids.

体内活性: 17-Hydroxyprogesterone is a potent steroid inducer of GVBD (germinal vesicle breakdown)[3].
