英文名: Triparanol

描述: Triparanol (NSC-65345) 干扰 Hedgehog 信号分子的翻译后修饰以及其受体 PTCH1 的甾醇传感域，导致 Hedgehog 信号的下调。 Triparanol 抑制人类肿瘤生长，是一种具有高眼毒性的抗血脂剂。

体外活性: Triparanol is an effective cholesterol biosynthesis inhibitor blocking the 24-dehydrocholesterol reductase. Triparanol can block proliferation and induce apoptosis in multiple human cancer cells including lung, breast, liver, pancreatic, prostate cancer, and melanoma cells, and growth inhibition can be rescued by the exogenous addition of cholesterol[2].
