英文名: Xylitol

描述: Xylitol (Ribitol) 是一种五碳糖醇，通过还原羰基衍生自木糖。它和蔗糖一样甜，可用作防龋甜味剂。

细胞实验: In vitro tube formation assay:HUVECs (2×104 cells) are seeded on a layer of previously polymerized Matrigel and treated with or without xylitol. Matrigel culture is incubated at 37°C. After 6 h, changes in cell morphology are captured through a phase contrast microscope and photographed at ×40 magnification. Each sample is assayed in duplicate and independent experiments are repeated three times. (Only for Reference)

体外活性: Xylitol 抑制LPS诱导的炎性细胞因子的表达[2]。Xylitol 强烈抑制HUVEC的管腔形成、迁移以及侵袭，并以剂量依赖的方式降低关键促血管生成分子及其受体（VEGF, KDR, bFGF及bFGFR-II）的mRNA表达。此外，Xylitol 还能抑制HUVEC的NF-κB和Akt活化[1]。

体内活性: Xylitol 在狗体内触发胰岛素释放[3]并抑制体内血管生成。在Matrigel实验中，Xylitol 显著抑制新微血管的形成，并减少Matrigel栓中的血红蛋白含量[1]。
