英文名: Menthol

描述: Menthol (DL-Menthol) 是从薄荷或薄荷油中得到的一种天然产物，具有调味和局部麻醉特性。它通过抑制神经元细胞膜的 Ca++电流，刺激冷感受器，从而产生清凉的感觉。

体内活性: High levels of the major DL-Menthol metabolite, menthol-glucuronide, was observed in the urine of smokers of either menthol or non-menthol cigarettes. The fact that a significant inverse correlation was observed between the levels of urinary menthol-glucuronide and NNAL-N-glucuronide, a major detoxification metabolite of the tobacco carcinogen, NNK, suggests that menthol may be inhibiting the clearance of this important tobacco carcinogen.
